AYA Estate Vineyards

As part of a holding of several companies engaged in viticulture, wine and spirits production and wine trade, the “AYA” project is the heir to the viticultural knowledge of several generations, with over 80 years of experience in artisanal wine production.

The production of wine in Bulgaria dates back to the time of the Thracians – 4 millennia ago and has not stopped despite the vicissitudes of fate in these lands. Every Bulgarian has probably touched this area at some point in his life. For some of them, however, it is not just about contact points, but about deep roots in this area, with accumulated knowledge and success – at home and abroad.

Our mission: To be the custodian and restorer of the good wine traditions in the Melnish region, with the aim of preserving, restoring and promoting the endemic, autochthonous varieties – for the region and for Bulgaria.

Our vision: To be an ambassador of local, autochthonous varieties, and to promote typical Bulgarian wines in the country and abroad.

Our main belief is to work with nature, not against it, that’s why we grow our vineyards, following the principles of biodynamics. We integrate nature into our cause and it helps us create a harmonious world where every element is in balance and has its place and meaning. In our vineyards, you can see life in all its beauty – ladybugs, worms, grasses, weeds, flowers, bees, etc. – biodiversity supporting the vines we grow.
