Roxs Winery

Roxs Winery OOD is one of the newest wineries in Bulgaria. It is located in the picturesque village of Vinarovo, municipality of Chirpan between Stara Zagora and Chirpan, at the foot of Sredna Gora. Roxs Winery Ltd. was established in 2018. It is owned by two families – the Snezhana and Atanas Mutafchiiski family – oenologists and the Delyana and Dako Nikolovi family. In the wine cellar, up to 80 tons of grapes are processed, with the possibility of increasing to 100 tons. 3 brands have been developed: Peró, Roxs winery and SM. SM is the top wine of the cellar – this blend between syrah and marcellan bears the initials of its author Snezhana Mutafchiyska – an oenologist with international experience. The cellar has modern technological equipment and stone rooms with oak barrels for aging the wines. Roxs Winery does not have its own vineyards, but works with several of the best grape producers in the area and throughout Southern Bulgaria.

Why exactly ROXS WINERY? ROXS from Roxana – an ancient Bulgarian princess, wife of Alexander the Great. The name Roxana comes from the Iranian and Alanic roxs – brilliant, and the Persian – zora, a typical Bulgarian female name from the 10th century in medieval Bulgaria /means radiant, radiant, shining/.
