Bononia Estate
At the end of the 19th century, one of the first breweries in the country was established on the site of the Bononia Estate, but in the transition years it sank into oblivion. In 2013, in already modern Bulgaria, the enterprise began to be revived as a winery with implemented current technologies, from a family that loves its country and is determined to develop business in it. People in love with aviation and driven by the belief that you have to let your spirit fly to make your dreams come true.
In 2013, the first 400 decares were planted with young vines, and to date the vineyards extend over 1300 decares. The desire of the owners is for the plantations to reach an area of 1,500 decares, formed by Dr. Guyot’s pruning, in which to grow different varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Traminer, Viognier, Riesling, Muscat Ottonel, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and the traditional Bulgarian Gamza for the region. Young vines are precisely selected from Italy and France, according to international consumer demand
