Chateau Avli

Chateau Avli is located in the village of Glushnik, Sliven region. The name derives from the medieval town of Avli, famous for its agriculture and winemaking. The vines were planted in 2006 using French planting material. They are located on 330 decares on two massifs (Bozalaka and Rupov dol) at the foot of the Sliven mountain – on terrain with fertile clay-stone soils, with south exposure and excellent air drainage. In addition to its favorable terroir, climate and terrain, the land is rich in several types of stones, which also contribute to the taste qualities and specific recognizable character of the wines. In 2018, the vineyards were converted and drip irrigation was built in both massifs. The varieties grown are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Caladoc, Syrah, Muscat, Pinot Grigio, Gewurztraminer and Viognier.
